Welcome to the Farm!
Broadhead Mountain Farm is a family- owned small farm located in beautiful Cismont, Virginia. It started many years ago when Wally Parks first put his hands in the dirt. Since boyhood, Wally has not only grown a passion for the garden, but also a wonderful family and stellar vegetables. What started as a hobby and a way to provide healthy food for the family has aspired into an operation to feed others as well. The whole family can attest to the virtues, values, and veggies grown while working in the garden.
With two acres in crop production, Broadhead Mountain Farm utilizes many techniques to cultivate seasonal produce. No chemical fertilizers are introduced to the soil. Organic practices are used as a fulfillment to the pledge of protecting the environment and our health. While not government certified organic, such practices are employed. In times of water need, irrigation comes from a spring-fed pond situated on the farm. Additionally, plants are started from seed at various times throughout the season to ensure plant quality and variety. This extra effort is the reason our produce is deemed "delicious."
